Ultrasound Video

I hope you all enjoy this little video of the ultrasound as much as we do. We had this done on August 16th, when we found out that we are having a girl.
It’s so surreal to see this little baby moving around. Her little heart even looks like a heart shape in some of the views.
We are so blessed!

It’s a GIRL!

We are having a Baby Girl! We are so excited and can hardly wait to see her and hold her. Of course, we would have been excited either way, but we feel extremely blessed at this wonderful news.
We actually cheated and went to an ultrasound place in Costa Mesa a couple of weeks ago (thanks to the referral by Tandi!), but we wanted to have it confirmed through our ultrasound at Kaiser. Both ultrasound techs were very certain that it’s a girl.
When we had our ultrasound at Kaiser, they measured and looked at everything - kidneys, the 4 heart chambers, brain, fingers and toes, etc. She’s getting so big and it’s amazing to see such detail on the ultrasounds.
We have a DVD of our ultrasound that we will post shortly so you can all see her moving around and yawning and putting her fingers in her mouth.
I will be 20 weeks on Sunday - half way through! Just a few short months and we’ll be able to post real pictures of her!

3 days closer…

We had our 5 month appointment on Monday afternoon and it went very well. The midwife moved our Due Date up 3 days to January 19, instead of January 22. Almost half a week closer…Woohoo!!!
We also moved our Ultrasound appointment up to this Friday instead of August 29th. From what I understand, this is a very thorough ultrasound where they check everything! They will count fingers and toes, make sure that the digestional system is developing properly, measure the head and rest of the body as well.
I am growing steadily, and there’s no more hiding that I’m pregnant. Not that I was trying to hide it, of course. But I’ve had some comments from co-workers like “Oh, you’re pregnant, I wasn’t quite sure!” I haven’t felt the baby kick yet, but I’m hoping it will be soon. I’m so excited to be able to feel it moving around inside of me.
Collin is doing great, as well. I can’t wait to see him with our child. He’s excited and nervous, but I look at him and see an amazing man that will be a loving, caring and fun daddy!
We’ll keep you updated on our Friday appointment. Please be praying for all results to be normal and good. We’re praying for God to keep our baby healthy and growing just the way it should.

There is one week left of the 4th month and we are almost halfway through this pregnancy. I can’t believe how quickly time is flying by. I’m doing pretty good, other than some back pain and still not feeling great in the evenings, but overall I can’t complain.
This past weekend, we started cleaning out our office, which is to become our nursery. We’re having to get creative with where to put everything, since we only have 2 bedrooms. We can’t wait to start decorating and getting the nursery ready for our baby. We find out what we’re having on August 29 - only 16 days away!!!
We have another appointment this coming Monday and we’re praying that everything is going as it should. We will keep you posted.
