2 Months Old!

Elyana at 2 Months!, originally uploaded by Full Circle Digital.
Elyana is two months old on Friday (March 20)! She doesn’t always think it’s fun when we try to take pictures. The three pictures here were taken within seconds of each other which just goes to show how quickly she can go from happy to grumpy!
Elyana is getting really strong. When she spends time on her tummy (which she really doesn’t like), she pushes herself up and tries to launch herself using her legs. She also likes to stand up while I’m holding her waist or her hands. It’s incredible how much she’s grown in two months.
We have a doctors appointment tomorrow where she will get her dreaded shots. I’m sure I’ll be crying right along with her.
Hopefully we’ll be able to post more photo’s soon…

Elyana is now 6 weeks old and smiling all the time! A few weeks ago she would smile every once in a while, but now she has honed her smiling skills and is showing off all the time. She’s becoming so much fun. I sit and talk and sing and make silly noises to see what she responds to.
We took this picture on Sunday morning when we were all still lounging in bed. I had just told Collin that she had really started smiling at me in the middle of the night after one of her feedings. Collin was holding her and all of a sudden, she just started smiling at him and didn’t stop! She loves her Daddy!
Speaking of the middle of the night, our little cutie thinks it’s fun to switch her days and nights! Isn’t that the greatest??? She sleeps most of the day and stays up most of the night. Yesterday, I decided to trick her and during the day I woke her up a bunch in the hopes that she would be extra sleepy at night. My plan backfired and I think she was overly tired, and it was our worst night yet. Today, I’m trying to sleep when she does so I can become a functioning person again. We’ll figure it out one of these days.
If this sleeping issue is the worst of it, I don’t think I can complain too much. She really is a great baby. She never cries for more than a few minutes at a time, and it’s usually to be fed, changed and cuddled, then she’s good to go.
Collin and I are so blessed that God has given us Elyana. Every day I thank Him for this gift and the time I get with her each day!
